About

visitors WELCOME!

If you would like to arrange a visit to our synagogue, we would love to hear from you.

Synagogue tours can be organised for members of the public on Holocaust Memorial Day and for schools throughout the year. Please get in touch with us if you would like to arrange a visit.

EDUCATIONAL VISITS

We’re always delighted to welcome school groups and community groups to our synagogue. If you’re thinking of arranging a visit, here are a few helpful things to know:

When you can visit
We offer visits Monday to Thursday. Morning visits usually start at 10.30am, while afternoon visits can be timed to fit around your school day. We don’t currently offer visits in the evenings or at weekends

Group size
Our sanctuary is quite small, so groups of around 30–35 work best.

Who it’s best for
Visits are most suitable for pupils from Year 4 upwards, especially if they already know a little about the Bible (Old Testament) or have some basic knowledge of Judaism.

Workshops for younger pupils
For younger children, we can sometimes come to your school instead. Our volunteers run fun and engaging workshops on topics such as Shabbat (the Sabbath) and Jewish festivals.

Cost
We see these visits as part of our Outreach programme. There’s no set charge, though if one of our volunteers is travelling to your school we just ask that their travel costs are covered. If schools or groups wish to make a donation, that’s always very much appreciated but entirely optional.

We love sharing our community, traditions, and stories, and look forward to meeting you and your students!
